Vijay Thalapathy, also known as Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar, is now the highest-paid actor in India. According to TOI and Filmibeat, Thalapathy Vijay has surpassed the records set by Shah Rukh Khan (Rs 250 crore) and Rajinikanth (Rs 220 crore).

Vijay was recently seen in Venkat Prabhu’s 'The Greatest of All Time', which hit theatres on September 5 and has become the highest-grossing Tamil film. On Saturday, it minted an estimated ₹13.1 crore at the start of the weekend, according to Sacnilk.
