Sachin Tendulkar: MS Dhoni's Twenty20 team is best in the world

New Delhi: Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday backed MS Dhoni's side to win the upcoming ICC WorldT20 on home soil.

Tendulkar felt Team India is the best side on current form and can go all the way in the World Cup.

"I think we have the best side in the world right now. In Twenty20s, the way we have played we are the most balanced team. We can go all the way to win the Twenty20 World Cup,” he told NDTV during an interview.

The master blaster praised young pacer Jasprit Bumrah for his wonderful display in Australia. Tendulkar also highlighted the importance of having veterans like Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh back in the side.

“You see just the way Bumrah (Jaspreet) bowled in Australia was superb and then nice to have someone like Ashish Nehra back, Yuvi back in the squad, Harbhajan is there. All these guys. It's a formidable combination. I would definitely want India to go all the way," Sachin further added.

The former India captain said the current Indian team is a well balance unit.

“We have a very good chance. In Twenty20, I think the team is well balanced with senior members in the squad. Then there are youngsters and guys who been around for a while, and they all as a package have performed really well," Tendulkar said.

Dhoni and co will play a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka starting Tuesday. They have another important assignment – Asia Cup - ahead of the WorldT20.
