She finished third behind Mariya Savinova of Russia and Alice Schmidt of USA. READ THE FULL REPORT» The semifinal and final of the event are scheduled for Thursday and Saturday respectively. Now all eyes will be set on Luka whether she can become the third Indian to make the finals of track and field event at the ongoing Games after Krishna Poonia and Vikas Gowda. Mary Kom and Devendro Singh will be in action on Wednesday in their respective bouts. The day will start for India when Tintu Luka competes in the women’s 800m round 1 at the Olympic stadium.
