Tackling Tanasugarn no easy task for Sania

Doha, Dec 06: Tamarine Tanasugarn did not go down without a fight, though her effort was not reflected in the score line. Tamarine, a former top twenty player in the world, showed all of her experience in the last few games, making Sania earn her points.

Sania, however, came through those tests, despite her nerves.

"I mean you are playing for your country and you are playing for a medal, and of course I will be lying if I say that had no nerves. I was tight but I think I as an athlete over the years I have learnt to deal with that. I think that just showed in the next game where it hit the net cord so many times and suddenly it felt that the net had gotten higher.
