India lockdown amid coronavirus COVID-19 scare: Day 30 in pics

As the coronavirus lockdown continues till May 3 it is only the eessential services that has been permitted to function everything has else has been shutdown and everyone has been asked to stay at home. The lockdown that was necissitated to put a stop to the spread of coronavirus. It came into effect from midnight of March 25 uptil April 15 but then it was extended till May 3.

As the lockdown 2.0 due to coronavirus is extended till May 3, the COVID-19 cases in India seems to be on the rise even as the number of recovery cases too witnessed a spike. India's total COVID-19 cases rise to 19,984 which includes 3,870 cured/migrated and deaths at 640. In the last 24 hours, 1383 new cases have been reported and 50 deaths, as per the Union Health Ministry’s figures on Wednesday.

COVID-19: Dy secretaries and above level officers to join offices on April 20

All deputy secretary level officers and above will join office from Monday, nearly a month after working from home due to the lockdown to check the spread of coronavirus, a senior official said.
