Sonakshi to share screen space with Akshay in ‘Joker’

Mumbai: It seems that stars are shining for newbie Sonakshi Sinha. The actress is only one film old in Bollywood but the filmmakers are all praise for her. Her last release ‘Dabangg’ with Salman Khan created a storm at the Box Office and now it’s been raining offers for the pretty lass. News has it that beautiful Sonakshi is going to play the lead role in director Shirish Kunder’s next film ‘Joker’. The cherry on the cake is of course her sharing screen space with none other than Akshay Kumar! ‘Joker’ is said to be a 3-D film to be directed by editor turned director Shirish Kunder. The director is planning to cast Sonakshi and Akshay in the lead roles. According to sources, Shirish has already held a meeting with Sonakshi and Akshay. If the talks will be finalised, then this will be Sonakshi’s second project with Shirish, the first being her forthcoming ‘Kick’ with Salman Khan opposite her. Talking to a news daily, a source close to Sonakshi said, “Sonakshi is thrilled to be a part of a 3D film so early in her career. Shirish and Akshay have already briefed her on the subject.”
