Bhopal: A day ahead of the state assembly elections' results, Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer on Monday announced that there will be no webcasting during the counting of votes. He also directed that Wifi will not be used in the counting hall.

He added that CCTV cameras will be installed there to monitor the situation better.

Madhya Pradesh went for voting on November 28, and the results will be announced on December 11.

As many as 2,899 candidates were in the fray including 250 women and five third gender candidates.

Along with Madhya Pradesh, elections are also being held in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Telangana. While elections in Chhattisgarh were held in two phases, the other four states had single phase polls.
