Radcliffe`s musical receives mixed response

British actor Daniel Radcliffe`s musical debut "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" received mixed reviews.

London: British actor Daniel Radcliffe`s musical debut "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" received mixed reviews. The New York Times` chief theatre critic Ben Brantley gives Radcliffe six out of 10 but added that the actor "conscientiously hits his choreographic marks, speaks his lines quickly and distinctly (with a convincing American accent) and often sings on key."
The New York Daily News reviewer wrote that Radcliffe "shows off a pleasant singing voice" but isn`t "animated enough" and "doesn`t quite succeed." But Elisabeth Vincentelli, who writes in the New York Post, found the 21-year-old actor adorable, reports the dailystar.co.uk. The Broadway musical, based on the bestselling novel by Shepherd Mead, is about one man`s ambitions to climb the corporate ladder using a self-help book. IANS
