Russell Crowe to star in ‘Les Miserable’

London: Russell Crowe has signed on to star in Tom Hooper’s ‘Les Miserables.’

Crowe, known for his action roles in ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World’, will play police inspector Javert in the forthcoming musical movie, reports femalefirst.co.uk. Actor Hugh Jackman is also the part of the movie and his character name will be Jean Valjean while actress Helena Bonham Carter is also in negotiations for a leading role. ‘Les Miserables’ is set to release December next year.
