Review: ‘Puss in Boots’ an adventure animation!

‘Puss in Boots’ is not entirely an action comedy it has dated jokes.

Zeenews Bureau ‘Puss in Boots’ is an adventure based animated flick. However it is not entirely an action comedy it has dated jokes, artificially injected humor and confused focus when talking of adventure in the film. The story looks more made up and baseless than what its promos and marketing had audiences expecting. In the film, Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) is out for adventure and he hears the news of a big score at a local tavern. The quest is for the magic beans that will lead up the beanstalk and to The Goose that Lays the Golden Eggs. The beans are currently in the possession of the grotesque Jack (Billy Bob Thornton) and Jill (Amy Sedaris), but Puss believes he can steal the magic legumes. His attempt is thwarted when his heist is interrupted by the thief Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek), who is trying to steal the beans for Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis). Puss and Humpty have a history and the film slams on the breaks so Puss can regale their backstory But the adventure is unimaginative and fails in structure to carry on very swiftly. The film lacks justice to the lead character and that is where the audience feels betrayed as they don’t get to see what they are in the theatre for. The film fails to register as funny and forgets to feature the character in the right way as audiences were made to believe. Rating: One cheer for this one!
