Mumbai: A legend of our times and an inspiration to everyone in the film industry, Dev Anand turns 88 today. Making debut as the leading hero in the film ‘Ziddi’ way back in 1948, Dev Saab remains the inimitable never-say-stop ‘young’ man of Bollywood, who is ready with his new film ‘Chargesheet’ ready to release soon.
On his birthday, the evergreen actor got himself an I-phone but not without extending a tribute to his die-hard spirit who avows that “the show must go on”. Dev Saab on his 88th B’day announced the sequel to 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna', a 1971 super hit! Talking to the media, Dev Saab confessed that he starts thinking of his next film even before he completes a film. "If you want to define Dev Anand, it would be to be as `restlessness`. While I am making a film, I am totally consumed by it. But yes, a part of my mind moves to the next project”, he said. On being asked about his birthday wishes, the affable Dev Saab quipped, "I don`t make wishes. I make them come true. I go with exactly what I want to do. It`s an ongoing process. As long as I feel creative and as long as I feel there are some people who want to watch my films, I`ll continue to make them." As far as, plans for toady are concerned, the B’day ‘boy’ said, “I am having a meeting with Warner Brothers my producers of Chargesheet about the premiere on Monday morning. In the evening, my friends have planned a dinner. A lot of eminent people think my birthday is worth celebrating." Well, it definitely is. Wish you a very happy and warm birthday wishes, Dev Saab!
