Gowariker wraps up the shoot of ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’

Mumbai: Bollywood hit-maker Ashutosh Gowariker recently wrapped up the shoot of his Abhishek Bachchan-Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.’By the way, on the last day of the shoot, the entire cast and crew members of the film were asked to report in a certain dress code - white shirts and blue trousers, something that celebrates the spirit of patriotisms. Talking to a news daily, Sunita Gowariker, the producer of the film said, "It was Ashu`s idea that everyone comes wearing white and blue. White is the colour of Vande Mataram and it also represents peace and purity. Blue signifies the Ashok Chakra on the flag. The film talks about the freedom movement. We wanted to do something symbolic. It was a pleasant surprise to see everyone come dressed up in the colours and be sporting about the party." Even though the lead pair Abhishek and Deepika couldn`t attend the event, they sent their warm wishes to the entire team. "Deepika was shooting for Break Ke Baad, while Abhishek was in Turkey. We really didn`t expect everyone to come. It was a small affair," Sunita said. News has it that Gowraiker’s ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ was wrapped up in a record time of 124 days, thereby beating the record of his previous film ‘Jodhaa Akbar.’ "We wanted to wrap up as early as possible because it`s a period film and it was important to retain the continuity. We didn`t want actors and supporting characters to start looking different over a period of time. The film was completed in the duration we expected it to finish," Sunita finally added.
