New York: `Star Wars` fans celebrated their holiest day on their calendar on Saturday, better known as ‘May the Fourth Be With You.’
For the first time in years, there was extra reason for all of those aspiring Jedi to celebrate after last October`s blockbuster announcement that Disney had purchased Lucasfilm for 4.05 billion dollars in cash and stock and immediately put an `Episode VII` into production.
"I read about it daily, I stare at the phone with the orange dot, waiting, hoping for it to the ring," actor Anthony Daniels, better known to three generations of fans as C3PO, told the New York Daily News. The New York Jedi, a 200-member strong band of light-saber fighting enthusiasts, performed at Times Square`s Ripley`s Believe It Or Not from 10 am to 1 pm. The group`s founder, a Brooklyn-based AV installation designer named Flynn, said there`s never been a better time to be a fan of all things ` Star Wars.` ANI
