Just wanted to get out of my marriage: Cheryl Cole

London: `Girls Aloud` singer Cheryl Cole says ex-husband Ashley Cole`s cheating scandal had left her feeling devastated and she just wanted to get out of the marriage.

The 29-year-old has said in her autobiography, `Chery: My Story`, that following her split from the England footballer she suffered a nervous breakdown, reported Daily Mail. "I just wanted to get out of the marriage and out of the house but as the day of the move got close I became more and more emotional. I think I was actually going through a nervous breakdown," she said. In February 2010 she split from Ashley after three-and-a-half year marriage. Ashley was first exposed for cheating on Cheryl in 2008 with hairdresser Aimee Walton. Later allegations emerged claiming Ashley had slept with Vicki Gough, a 30-year-old secretary at Liverpool FC. Cheryl also opened up about how she lied to her family and friends by telling them all that she was doing well when in fact she was terribly unhappy. "Really I wanted to say `Help me, I can`t live like this any more. I`m miserable as hell`," she added. PTI
