Lady luck does not shine on Sting

Musician Sting says that he is not always lucky with females and still can`t forget his first date which ended as he drove into the sea.

London: Musician Sting says that he is not always lucky with females and still can`t forget his first date which ended as he drove into the sea.The former `Police` singer was trying to impress a girlfriend by taking her to a popular spot for lovers in Tynemouth, north-east England, Contactmusic reported.
"One famous night I had a new girlfriend, I had a lovely Mini (car). I think I changed every part of that Mini that I could, it had a fibreglass front and I drove her in the moonlight down this hill. I thought I was James Bond or something and I hit the bottom of the hill and hit the North Sea, it was a high tide," Sting said.
However, the the romantic date soured when the 58-year-old singer accidentally drove his car into the ocean, forcing him to beg his dad to come and help him retrieve the vehicle. "Within seconds we were in four feet of water and she wasn`t very impressed with this, so in the end we actually ended up having to call my father up the road. I said, `Dad, my car`s in the sea`," Sting said. His date was so furious with him, he never saw her again. "He said, `Well, what do you want me to do about it?` I said, `Would you come down and tow me out?` So he came down in his milk van with a tow rope and he just handed me the rope and didn`t help me. He sat with the girlfriend and had a cigarette and I towed my car out here and she never saw me again," he added. PTI
