Just a few moments away from the game to begin at the Hagley Oval. But before that, the shining trophy is brought by carefully and is being placed on the pedestal. Tom Latham, the captain of New Zealand says that they would have bowled first as well but says that if you get through the first hour, it gets a bit easier to bat on. Mentions that the public has got right behind them and having a series against England is exciting. 

Ben Stokes, the captain of England says that the wicket generally gets better here and also states there's a good covering of grass as well. Is hopeful that they can get the most out of it with the new ball. He is also hopeful that the results will pan out in their favor this time. Also adds that it's about how the teams try to get the game on and push their limits.
