Long live wrist spinners: Spin great Shane Warne acknowledges Kuldeep Yadav's tribute, has new war cry

New Delhi: Spin great Shane Warne has hailed Kuldeep Yadav's 'impressive' show against Australia yerterday on the first day of fourth Test in Dharamsala.

In his debut, Kuldeep snared four Aussie wickets. He got the better of David Warner, Peter Handscomb, Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins in a dream spell.

After the day's play, Kuldeep credited Warne for his success. He also became the first ever chinaman bowler to play for India in Test.

"Did you see the first wicket (David Warner)? That wasn`t a chinaman. It was a flipper which I learnt from Shane Warne. So learning from Warne and then dismissing one of his [Australia`s] players is great. My idol was Warne and I have followed him since childhood. I still watch his videos and it was a dream come true when I met him. I couldn`t believe I was speaking to my idol and sharing my thoughts on bowling and what all I should be doing," Kuldeep said.

Acknowledging Kuldeep's tribute, Warne on Sunday took to Twitter and wrote that the Indian spinner was 'impressive'.

In the same tweet, Warne also shared his new war cry, that of "Long live the wrist spinners".
