‘Bridget Jones’ author plans to make musical based on novel

Melbourne: The author of ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’ Helen Fielding has revealed that she has plans for a musical based on the novel.

According to E! Online, Fielding, 53, confirmed that she was working on a new adventure for singleton Bridget, played by actress Renee Zellweger, but didn’t want to rush it. “I’ve been working on it. You know, the challenge is to make it really good, because I’ve waited a long time before doing anything else with Bridget,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Fielding as saying. “I want it to be quite honest and mean something and be really good and funny,” she said.
