Osian opens art leg with ‘Osianama’

Mumbai: Osian’s Connoisseurs of Art has reached out to the emerging upper-middle class population in an attempt to reach, spread awareness and market the Art & Culture of India. Starting on 19th September 2009, Osian’s will take space at the famous high end lifestyle retail store - VAMA on Peddar Road, Mumbai – as the premium brand in the art and cultural world. Showcased will be a collection of fine and popular arts, ranging from modern & contemporary Indian arts, calendar, advertising, political propaganda, rare books & crafts, vintage Indian and Hollywood film publicity material to sports memorabilia. Its inaugural exhibition will be based on the great religions of India. The focus would change every two months. The Osianama next year will further take forward this process to the working classes, thus integrating the ‘elite-middle-working’
