Shah Rukh goes through all the pain for ‘MNIK’

Call it his strive for perfection or whatever, but Shah Rukh literally went through a lot of pain to pull off his role in much-anticipated flick ‘My Name Is Khan’. SRK was reportedly so much into his ‘MNIK’ character throughout the making of the film that he gave himself severe migraines and pain in the neck while shooting for the same. But the actor ignored it the first few times and popped pills when the pain continued.

Mumbai: Call it his strive for perfection or whatever, but Shah Rukh literally went through a lot of pain to pull off his role in much-anticipated flick ‘My Name Is Khan’. SRK was reportedly so much into his ‘MNIK’ character throughout the making of the film that he gave himself severe migraines and pain in the neck while shooting for the same. Our source reveals that SRK suffered from migraines and a crick in the back of his neck during the shooting of ‘MNIK’, but the actor ignored them the first few times and popped pills when the pain continued. However, when that didn`t help, he decided to see a doctor. According to the doctor, the pain in neck and the headaches were caused by the expressions and posture of Rizwan Khan, SRK`s character in the film, who has Asperger`s Syndrome. Director Karan Johar admits, "I guess that`s one of the hazards when you play your role so intensely. Shah Rukh`s character Rizwan had to arch his eyebrows and focus his eyes on a certain place before every take. Halfway through the shooting of the film, Shah Rukh developed severe headaches as result of all the pressure it would put on his head so he had to see a neurosurgeon for that. We were worried... Shah Rukh has never had this problem before." Well, we would just say - get well soon Shah Rukh!
