Mumbai: Ever since John Abraham pulled off his naughty butt-baring act in ‘Dostana,’ the Bollywood male brigade is religiously pumping iron to acquire a shapely derriere. News has it that director Karan Johar wanted a super cool look for Imran Khan in ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ and asked the actor to attain a sexy body. Imran complied and worked on his body for two months to get a stunning new look. Talking to a news daily on his new look, Imran said, “It’s to show the film’s attitude. My butt’s showing, but I think John Abraham beats me at that.” “I did functional training, strength training, rope climbing and played a lot of basketball. I altered my diet, too, ate only fish, steamed veggies, fruits and nuts and no rice at all. And two days before I shot this picture, I stopped the intake of salt completely. I even stopped drinking water,” said the actor. “There was a struggle between Manish Malhotra and director Punit, who is also his nephew. While Manish wanted this all-perfect look for me, Punit wanted a grungy one. So finally I ended up looking quite stylised with coloured shoe laces, which were untied, ripped jeans, half-buttoned shirts...” said Imran on his newly acquired look for ‘I Hate Luv Storys.’ Imran and his leading lady Sonam Kapoor had a gala time in New Zealand while shooting for their latest film. “Punit and I had this secret code that nobody understood. So we would communicate in that language driving everybody nuts,” he said. Talking about his on-screen chemistry with Sonam, Imran was all praise for the actress, “I have always felt that we two would look great together. Check out our onscreen chemistry,” Imran said. Imran plays a Casanova in the film who doesn’t believe in love or romance. Talking about his on-screen character, “He enjoys the game of romancing girls but at the same time, he’s not a harami. Karan told me, ‘Whatever you do, don’t make your character look sleazy. You have to be the sweet guy,’” finally said Imran.
