Salman to back convicted designer Anand Jon through ramp walk

New Delhi: Salman Khan has a heart of gold that melts at every tale of woe, and convicted NRI designers come in this very category for him. Buzz has it that Salman Khan feels for the jailed designer, and in an effort to show his solidarity with the fallen star, Sallu will walk the ramp at the India Fashion Week this October. He would be there in Anand’s sister Sanjana’s show. Sanjana has chosen the ramp to voice her appeal for a fair re-trial for her brother. Anand Jon has been convicted of 16 charges, including rape and sexual assault, and sentenced to 59 years of imprisonment by the Los Angeles Superior Court. Sanjana is desperately trying to get the Indian government to take some action and look into the legalities of Anand’s case. Singer Shibani Kashyap has confirmed her support for the show and said, “I have personally known Sanjana and Anand. This seems a sheer case of racism. I feel everyone deserves a fair trial. So, I shall walk with my brother Abhinav in support of Anand’s cause.” Salman, too, is her friend.
