Shahid Kapur ate street food to survive in the industry

Mumbai: Every struggler in the film industry has some story to say. Shahid Kapur, who has now made his mark with blockbuster films, recently talked about his struggles. Reportedly, his personal life experiences have been incorporated in his upcoming release, ‘Chance Pe Dance’, which will hit the screens this January Talking about his struggles, the actor said to a news daily, “And believe me, I have gone through this all”, confesses Shahid, “I remember the times when I used to drive this Maruti 800 car. In fact I couldn`t afford even this but then it would have been very embarrassing to report for an audition or meet a producer by travelling in an auto rickshaw, so I had to somehow own and maintain it.” Shahid further revealed, “Sometimes I would be short of petrol and didn`t have even have Rs 100 spare with me to buy more fuel, so I used to hitch a ride with a friend. In fact I have been caught in a situation where I ate street food to save some money. No, I am not trying to glamorise or romanticize the entire struggle part but something like this is a part and parcel of the entertainment industry.” Well, all we know is – No pain, no gain, Shahid!
