‘Female friendship is the centre of my life’

Reese onfessed that her girl friends were pillar of strength.

London, May 03: The Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon vows by female friendship as she confessed that her girl friends were pillar of strength for her while she raised kids.Witherspoon who gave birth to daughter Ava with then-husband Ryan Phillippe in 1999, struggled to adapt to her new role as a parent initially, Female First reported.
"When I first had Ava, I couldn`t afford help. It was so hard. I was out in Los Angeles, living away from my family. I didn`t really have any friends. And I had a baby. No one else who was 22 had a baby. I couldn`t go out," the actress said. However, the 33-year-old actress who had another child son Deacon with Philippe in 2003 before their 2006 divorce said that she found "salvation" with a group of female friends whom she is grateful to. The `Legally Blonde` actress who is now dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal, said, "That`s always been the centre of my life, female friendship. I value the shared human experience, when women are honest with each other." Bureau Report
