Nicole Scherzinger wants to play a nerd

London: Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger is eager to play nerd in a romantic comedy.

"I would really love to do a romantic comedy because I am pretty much the nerdiest, goofiest girl you have ever met," contactmusic.com quoted her as saying. The singer also has ambitions to take to the stage as a theatre actress, but won`t sacrifice her music career to make it happen. "Once I have done more music and some movies, there will be a time when I will want to do some theatre," she said. "With acting, I want to be taken more seriously and look for roles that challenge me as an actress. I don`t want to do cameos and stuff like that. I won`t ever give up music though, I adore singing," she added. IANS
