Marc Anthony signs Cuban duo after hearing new single

Los Angeles: Singer Marc Anthony has signed Cuban duo Gente De Zona to his new entertainment company, Magnus Media.

Anthony, 46, has given his new recruits an extra boost by agreeing to appear on their new single "La Gozadera", which he heard for the first time when close friend Pitbull invited the pair to a party at the Puerto Rican salsa star's home in Florida earlier this year, reported Billboard.

The singer said Gente De Zona star Randy Malcolm played him the track on his phone. "I heard the future of music. The song is a smash," Anthony said.

The "I Need to Know" singer launched his media company earlier this year to help develop the careers of Latin artists.
