Metallica collaborates with Lou Reed

London: American heavy metal band Metallica has associated with rock musician Lou Reed for new album `Lulu`.

Both Metallica and Lou Reed have produced the collaborative effort which will release Monday. This is not the first time that the two have worked together. The metal band backed Reed while performing the "Sweet Jane" at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Anniversary concert in 2009. IANS
