Courtney Love turns down Coachella slot

London: Rocker Courtney Love has turned down the chance to perform with her band Hole at the Coachella music festival because organisers refused to give them a headlining slot.

The troubled singer/songwriter marked her comeback to the American stage last month, by playing her first US Hole show of the century with her new-look act at the Southwest festival in Texas. She was set to follow the gig with a performance at the top California event this weekend, reported a news website. But Love, 45, was left fuming when event bosses refused to give her the top slot and turned down their offer. "Promoter wouldn`t give us a good enough spot so no Coachella," Love wrote on her Twitter page. PTI
