Mumbai: John Abraham has every right to make hue and cry over an incident, which left him fuming. The actor, who was invited by director Abbas Tyrewala for a special screening of their film ‘1-800-LOVE’, was shocked to see that the director had sidelined him in favour of his wife, Pakhi. The actor refused to participate in the publicity of the film as he was hardly there in the film.
A source informed a news daily, "John was visibly upset after watching the film. It was as if Abbas had made ‘1-800 Love’ as a show reel for his belovedbiwi. He felt that there was an overdose of Pakhi throughout the film and that he was hardly there. John made his resentment clear and stated that he would refuse to promote the film." Abbas Tyrewala was also upset over the whole episode. But sources present at the film’s screening favour John and say that there is an overdose of Pakhi in the film. Pakhi or Punarnava Mehta had earlier acted in Harry Baweja`s film ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai’ (2002), directed by Hansal Mehta and was also the casting director for Abbas` debut flick ‘Jaane Tu..Ya Jaane Na’.
