Madonna`s second Malawian adoption bid ‘confirmed’

Madonna has reportedly been told that her application filed for the adoption of second African orphan will succeed.

London, April 01: Madonna has reportedly been told that her application filed for the adoption of second African orphan will succeed. The Queen of Pop, who adopted three-year-old David Banda from the country in 2006, recently appeared in Malawi’s High Court to request judges to let her take home four-year-old Mercy James, whose teenage mum died three years ago.
The singer allegedly told Judge Esmie Chombo that she would be a "deeply loving mother” and would care for Mercy as her own child.
The hearing was adjourned for a ruling on whether to grant a temporary custody order to the megastar. But a senior Malawian official confirmed that Mercy would soon join the 50-year-old celebrity’s family. “This is all very confidential, and Judge Chombo must still make her ruling — but that ruling will be in favour of Madonna,” the Sun quoted the official as saying. “Madonna is a very good mother and ambassador for Malawi. She has improved the lives of thousands of orphans,” the official added. Madonna will next appear in court for the ongoing adoption process on April 3. ANI
