Agra Cantt Election results 2022: The triangular contest was between sitting BJP MLA GS Dharmesh, SP candidate Kunwar Chand and BSP candidate Bhartendra Kumar Arun.

Agra Cantt Election results 2022: The final Assembly election results for Agra Cantt Vidhan sabha seat falling under the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh are out. BJP's Dr. Girraj Singh Dharmesh has bagged the Agra Cantt seat with 46.78% votes. Agra Cantt is a reserved seat for Scheduled Caste candidates, which went to the polls in the first phase of Uttar Pradesh elections on February 10, 2022. The triangular contest was between sitting BJP MLA GS Dharmesh, SP candidate Kunwar Chand and BSP candidate Bhartendra Kumar Arun. 

BJP has fielded sitting MLA GS Dharmesh from the Agra Cantt seat, while the Samajwadi Party, which has an alliance with the RLD, has fielded Kunwar Chand. Sikandar Singh is the Congress candidate and Bhatendra Kumar Arun is fighting from BSP ticket.

Agra Cantt Vidhan Sabha Chunav 2022 - A look at the top candidates 

BJP’s Dr Girraj Singh Dharmesh, 68, a sitting MLA from Agra Cantt, was fielded against SP-RLD candidate Kunwar Chand and BSP’s Dr. Bhartendra Kumar Arun, who is a property dealer by profession.  

Agra Cantt Vidhan Sabha Chunav Final Results (Agra Cantt Assembly Election LATEST UPDATE and TRENDS) 

BJP’s G S Dharmesh has won the Agra Cantt Assembly seat with 1,17,796 votes, followed by SP’s Kunwar Chand with 69,099 votes. BSP's Dr. Bhartendra Kumar Arun has gained 54,409 votes, as per ECI. 

BJP candidate for Agra Cantt Vidhan Sabha Chunav

Dr. Girraj Singh Dharmesh of Bharatiya Janata Party, who noted medical business and petrol pump as profession in his affidavit, won the seat in 2017 by defeating Gutiyari Lal Duwesh from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) with a margin of 46325 votes. 

BSP candidate for Agra Cantt Assembly Elections 

BSP changed its candidate and gave a ticket to Bhartendra Kumar Arun in the 2022 election. BSP had gained the second largest number vote share in the Agra Cantt seat in 2017 when its candidate Gutiyari Lal Duwesh won 66,853 votes. 

SP candidate for Agra Cantt Assembly Elections

Samajwadi Party along with its ally RLD gave a ticket Kunwar Chand this time from Agra Cantt seat. Mamta Kaudan was SP’s candidate in 2017 who bagged the third position in the 2017 polls.
