EC rejected central forces in Bihar panchayat polls

Patna: The state election commissioner of
Bihar on Saturday said Election Commission of India for rejecting
the state poll panel`s demand for deployment of
central forces during ongoing panchayat polls in Bihar.
"EC rejected the demand for central forces for conduct
of the ongoing 10-phase panchayat polls," J K Datta told
reporters here.
EC also rejected demand for deployment of 200 IAS
officers and Income tax officials on panchayat poll duties,
he said.
