Firozabad: Citing the experience of his father Mulayam Singh Yadav, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said he was the "most able" person for the post of Prime Minister.

Addressing an election rally here in support of his cousin Akshay Yadav, Akhilesh made a veiled attack on Narendra Modi, saying it would be unfortunate if a person who used "derogatory language" became the Prime Minister.
"It would be unfortunate if a persons who uses derogatory language is made Prime Minister of the country," Yadav said.

"How can a person, who have not seen outside his state could become the PM. Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) has been legislator, MP and Union minister and is the most experienced and able person for the post," he added.

Akhilesh said the path to Delhi goes from Uttar Pradesh and the party, which won maximum seats here, would play a decisive role in the formation of the government at the Centre.
Highlighting achievements of his government, Akhilesh said it implemented the poll manifesto of 2012 and people of the state knew what had been done for them.

He appealed the people to vote for the SP government to defeat "communal forces".
