Two more die of swine flu in Gujarat; death toll reaches 64

Ahmedabad: Swine flu deaths continued
unabated in Gujarat with two more persons succumbing to the
disease, taking the toll to 64, health official said today.

48-year-old Jayaben Jagjeevanbhai died at the PDU
Civil Hospital in Rajkot today, while Sanjay Sanghavi (45), a
Bhuj resident, succumbed to the viral infection at a private
hospital here yesterday, they said.

A dozen fresh cases of H1N1 infection have been
reported from districts like Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and
Surat, the official said.

The total number of positive flu cases in the state
have reached 408.

Of the total fatalities, 59 are from Gujarat, while
the other victims belonged to neighbouring Rajasthan who were
brought here under critical condition for treatment.
