5 test positive, no rise in swine flu toll in West Bengal

Five more persons were today tested H1N1 positive across West Bengal taking the total number of swine flu affected people in the state to 474 since January, a senior Health department official said.

The toll remained at 25 as there was no fresh death report in the state in the last 24 hours, Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare Moloy Dey told PTI.

During the same period, nine persons were released from different hospitals after their total recovery from the disease, he said, adding that altogether 415 people have recuperated.

Presently, 13 patients were being treated at government hospitals and 21, out of 34 affected with the H1N1 virus, were admitted at private facilities, Dey added.
