After flop films, Salman Khan contemplates a political career

Mumbai, April 24: Dejected by flop filmy career, Salman Khan seems to have found his new calling - politics. Although, his weird antics, raw rage and inexplicable fits of fury have led to endless encounters with law but when it comes to being a crowd puller, Sallu is the best. The mad frenzy this bad boy generates can be well gauged by the actor’s mass appeal seen at the recent election campaigns. Campaigning for one and all, the muscle man seemed to be a crowd magnet.Politics isn’t a game for the faint-hearted and after heavyweight Sanjay Dutt zoomed and loomed off the political ring, it’s Salman who is contemplating a political career. And though the actor has refrained from taking an immediate plunge into the deadly web, politics is definitely on his mind. Confirming his political aspirations the actor told a news daily, "I wouldn’t say never. I don’t know any boundaries. I’m involved in a lot of social work and that’s the right way to serve the people”. After making his alternate career plans loud and clear, the actor is just passing the right ‘gyan’, urging people to vote. “I just urged the electorate to go out and vote for the right candidate. Whoever I campaigned for, I did out of instinct. Nobody asked me for any support.” What’s more is that the actor is leaving no stone unturned to gain public sympathy. Aiming to form an immediate connect, Salman is using his wild card stating he is a common man. “I may be a film-star but my thinking and lifestyle is very basic. I understand the public’s needs; I empathise with their problems because I have been through them myself. I am very much one of them. I feel it’s important for a politician to be there and feel the pulse of the common man before making lofty promises,” he said. Well, Sallu there is nothing ‘common’ about your relentless rage and bizarre strange acts. Though, a ‘man’ you are far from being ‘common’.
