A woman was burnt alive for dowry by seven persons, including her husband in Bhadua village here, police said today.

Etah: A woman was burnt alive for dowry by seven persons, including her husband in Bhadua village here, police said today.

The victim, Soni was allegedly set on fire by her husband and in-laws on April 30. She was admitted to a private hospital where she succumbed to injuries on Sunday, they said.

Her father Chandra Prakash, in his complaint, alleged that his daughter's in-laws demanded Rs 3 lakh as dowry.

Prakash registered an FIR against seven persons yesterday, including the victim's husband Surendra.

Police said there have been no arrests in the case so far.
