New Delhi, Aug 18: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today moved a no-confidence motion against the Vajpayee government in Lok Sabha. Making a direct attack on Vajpayee, she said PM should show his real face. She said he can`t be trusted if he really means what he says.
The motion moved by Gandhi reads, "This House expresses
its want of confidence in the council of ministers."
She accused the government on nine fronts:
Sonia Gandhi said that govt has failed to spend allocated money for modernisation of defence forces. She charged govt with several irregularities in defence purchases.
She attacked govt for releasing dreaded militants in 1999 Indian Airlines` hijacking episode.
