Mumbai, Sept 03: Maharashtra government today said a
decision on challenging the Mumbai High Court order dropping
the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder framed
against Bollywood star Salman Khan in a hit-and-run case would
be taken after seeking opinion of the law and judiciary
department.

"I am yet to see the order but any decision, challenging
the high court's order in the supreme court will be taken only
after seeking views of the law and judiciary department",
Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal told reporters here.

Bhujbal's reply came when his attention was drawn to the
High Court move dropping the charge of culpable homicide not
amounting to murder against Salman in a hit and run case.

Salman had on September 28 last year rammed his car into
a bakery in suburban Bandra killing one person and injuring
four others.
