British Prime Minister Tony Blair will be provided top security during his three-day visit to the city from January 4.

City police commissioner H T Sangliana told reporters in Bangalore that police did not have reports of any security threat to Blair.
“We will be taking special precautions,” he said, but declined to elaborate on the security arrangements.

Meanwhile, according to the official programme, the British premier, on arrival in Bangalore in the evening, will take part in the dinner to be hosted in his honour by governor V S Ramadevi at Raj Bhavan.

On January 5, Blair will participate in the inaugural function of CII's flagship event, 'the partnership summit' at the Infosys campus on the city's outskirts.

Blair will leave for Hyderabad on the morning of January 6.
