Itanagar: Women and Child Development Minister Newlai Tingkhatra has stressed on proper implementation of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS).
The minister said that the new scheme - Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) which will cover all schemes relating to the welfare and protection of children, would be implemented henceforth to ensure that the scheme serves its purpose.
He was addressing a review meeting on ICDS and other schemes and Acts related to the welfare of women and children, organized by the women and child development department here yesterday, official sources said Wednesday.
Tingkhatra said the financial proposal submitted by the department to the union women and child development ministry has been approved by the Centre and would be implemented in the state very soon, the sources said.
