New Delhi: Expressing grave concern over the second molestation case in Punjab within a week, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Barkha Shukla Singh on Monday said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal should resign if his government is not able to protect women in the state.

" Badal government has been in Punjab since a very long time and if they still can't keep the women of Punjab safe then he should resign," Singh told ANI here.

"In the past two days, a girl's father was beaten up and the girl was raped. The administration should be more careful," she added.

The police have arrested two people over charges of molesting a 30-year-old woman aboard a moving private bus in Khanna city of Punjab.

The incident comes to the fore even as the state government is under sharp criticism over the molestation case of a 13-year-old girl in Moga district.
