Three terrorists were killed Wednesday morning when the security forces retaliated the rebels in Bhalupahad area of Syangja district. The encounter occurred when the terrorists tried to install some ambush against the security forces, it said.

An armed terrorist was killed during an encounter in Chuja village development committee of Pyuthan district. The security forces retaliated when the armed rebels attacked them with socket bombs and guns.

Meanwhile, the security forces have arrested seven terrorists and 41 suspected terrorists from various parts of the country in the past 24 hours during the search operations.

The forces have also taken into custody those providing financial assistance, shelter or any other kind of help to terrorists, defence ministry spokesman Bhola Silwal said.

The security forces retaliated when a group of armed terrorists attacked them with socket bombs and other weapons in Burtiwang of Baglung district.

Some loss on the part of terrorists was reported, the official said but gave no details about the incident.
