Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav to visit China this month

 Nepal's President Ram Baran Yadav will embark on a four-day official visit to China later this month to attend the Boao Forum of Asia (BFA) conference.

Kathmandu: Nepal's President Ram Baran Yadav will embark on a four-day official visit to China later this month to attend the Boao Forum of Asia (BFA) conference.

The President will also meet his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and other leaders during his visit which is scheduled to take place from March 26 to 29.

President Yadav will meet other Asian leaders on the sidelines of the Boao Forum, according to foreign ministry sources.

He is likely to discuss Nepal's latest political situation, China's economic assistance to Nepal, and matters related to the upcoming 60th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic relations with the Chinese president.

Yadav will be accompanied by an 18-member delegation, besides his advisors.

This will be the second official visit of Yadav to China.

Ahead of the President's visit, Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey will pay an official visit to China from March 17 to 21.

Pandey, who left for Japan on Thursday to attend a high-level conference on disaster risk reduction, is scheduled to reach Beijing from Tokyo.

China attaches a great importance on Nepalese Foreign Minister Pandey's visit to the country ahead of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-Nepal diplomatic relations, Hong Lei, spokesperson at China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said yesterday in Beijing.

He said Pandey will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart?Wang Yi and other officials.
