Madurai: Four persons were injured in a
clash with members of the All India Station Masters
Association (AISMA) in Madurai, police said.
They said cases had been registered against seven union
members in connection with the clash which occurred yesterday.
Members of one union were protesting against the
agitation by AISMA, who were staging a demonstration against
the recent attack on one of their colleagues while on duty at
Melakonnakulam railway station in Sivaganga district and
demanding his arrest.
Even as the agitation was on, members of another union
attacked the SMs, following which the AISMA President filed a
police complaint.
