Armed robbers decamp with valuables, weapon

A group of four armed robbers barged into the house of a local businessman in Ghaziabad and decamped with valuables worth lakhs of rupees.

with valuables worth lakhs of rupees apart from a licensed
revolver, police said on Friday.

Robbers struck at the house of Riazuddin in Shyam Park
area of Sahibabad locality last night and ran away with Rs
five lakh in cash apart from jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh and a
licensed revolver, they said.

Police suspect the culprits were well aware of the layout
of the house.

A case has been registered at the Sahibabad police
station and further probe into the matter is on, assistant
superintendent of police Amit Verma said.
