Cycling should be promoted in India: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow: Advocating use of bicycles, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said that there should be separate infrastructure facilities in India for cycling.
Addressing the gathering here at a cycling event, `Paddle for Cleaner, Greener and Better Lajwab Lucknow`, Akhilesh said that instead of associating cycle with poverty, it`s use should be promoted.

In foreign countries, separate infrastructure facilities are provided for cycling and there is a need to do the same in India, he said.

Akhilesh said that like cycling, the youths should learn the art of maintaining balance in their lives.
