Heat wave continues in UP, Banda hottest at 46.8 °C

Heat wave conditions continued in UP with day temperatures rising appreciably in Meerut while changing little in the remaining divisions of the state.

Lucknow: Heat wave conditions continued in UP with day temperatures rising appreciably in Meerut while changing little in the remaining divisions of the state.

Temperatures were markedly above normal in Meerut division, appreciably above normal in Jhansi, Agra, Allahabad, Kanpur, above normal in Bareilly, Moradabad and were normal in the remaining divisions of the state, Met office sources said.

Banda continued to remain the hottest place in the state recording highest maximum temperature of 46.8 degree Celsius.
Sources said that weather would be mainly dry over the state. Dust raising winds would occur at some places in west UP during next 36 hours.
