Illegal arms, ammunition recovered; four arrested

Gorakhpur: Four persons were arrested with illegal arms and ammunition during routine patrolling in Peepeeganj police station area, police said on Wednesday. On a tip-off, a speeding car was asked to stopped but it tried to flee. However, the police personnel chased the car and arrested four persons sitting in the car and recovered some illegal weapons from them, S N Singh, Station Officer, Peepeeganj Police Station said.

According to police, some important clues were given by the accused which could lead to further arrests.
