Three Americans, including two women from the same family, died in the Germanwings plane disaster in the French Alps that killed all 150 on board, the US State Department said on Wednesday.

Washington: Three Americans, including two women from the same family, died in the Germanwings plane disaster in the French Alps that killed all 150 on board, the US State Department said on Wednesday.
"We are in touch with the family but are not releasing the name at this time out of respect for the family," Psaki said.
"We are in contact with family members and we extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the 150 people on board," she said in a statement.
She added that US officials were "deeply saddened" by the news of Tuesday`s crash, which killed all 144 passengers and six crew members.
Psaki said the government was reviewing records to determine if other US citizens were on the flight.
She confirmed the identity of the two people killed as Yvonne and Emily Selke.
US media said they were a mother and daughter.
